How It Works
“Reciprocal Barter” or one-on-one barter was the standard of Commerce before there was money. The limitations of one-on-one barter are that two companies must have a need for each other's product at the same time and of an equal value.

Successful matches of need and value were so rare that cash currency was developed as a common medium of exchange.

Organized barter works in a similar fashion to cash currency through the use of a trade dinar or trade credit. For all practical purposes the trade dinar is treated and used like normal dinar currency on a debit and credit system maintained by a clearing house ( the trade exchange). The first function of the trade exchange is to market a company’s product or service to its network of other client companies. This creates increased exposure to new markets.

When a product or service is sold, the seller receives a credit in trade dinars that can be utilized with any other companies in the network. This creates flexibility.

A Giant Auto spare part dealer holding inventory worth $100 million had a major cash crunch as their spare parts were getting slow moving and obsolete. They were only accumulating dust on them. Every time he wanted to sell his spare parts to bulk buyers, he would refuse to sell them as the price quoted to him was nearly 20% of the amount they asked. This is when they joined A to Z Barter. We took their entire spare part list and sent it across the borders to our more than 100 representatives worldwide. Within 3 weeks the deal struck when an auto spare parts dealer in Kuwait agreed to purchase all of it at a more comfortable price which was mutually agreed by both the parties. The company in the US traded its entire obsolete or slow moving inventory against real estate in UK. A win-win situation.

This helped; however, she discovered that many of her potential customers were in the same need of additional funds themselves. She found an association with a local/national trading company and began exchanging many of her goods to clients that were members of the trade organization. Without cash business from them she was able to pay for all of her family's dental care, carpet and furniture cleaning, auto repairs, haircuts, tree trimming, and a host of fun services that would not have been in the family budget.
